Annie Talks Food: Discovering the Bold Flavours of Wild Cornwall
At the Hereford Deli we love discovering producers who do things properly, real ingredients, small-batch production, and flavour combinations that genuinely excite the palate. One of those producers is Wild Cornwall, whose preserves and sauces are inspired by the tradition of foraging and the incredible natural ingredients found around the Cornish landscape.
In the latest episode of Annie Talks Food, Annie explores the Wild Cornwall range we stock here at the deli, tasting and talking through some of the unique flavour combinations that make these jars so special.
From the bright sweetness of Strawberry & Elderflower, to the deep richness of Cherry, Blueberry & Vanilla, and the wonderfully unusual Peach & Sea Buckthorn and Pear & Wildflower, each jar offers something a little different from the usual preserves you might find on the supermarket shelf.
What we particularly like about Wild Cornwall is their commitment to keeping things natural and simple. Their products focus on:
Real, recognisable ingredients
No refined sugar
No seed oils
Proper small-batch production
These preserves are incredibly versatile. Of course they’re wonderful on toast, but they’re also fantastic paired with cheese boards, charcuterie, roasted meats, or even used creatively in sauces and dressings.
In the video below, Annie talks through the range and shares a few thoughts on what makes these products stand out.
If you’d like to try them for yourself, you can find the Wild Cornwall range here at Hereford Deli in St Owen Street, Hereford.
