New at The Hereford Deli – September 2026

There’s always something new to discover at The Hereford Deli.

We’re constantly on the lookout for interesting artisan producers, exceptional ingredients and those slightly unusual products that you might not find on the shelves of your average supermarket.

September has been a particularly good month for new arrivals. From charcuterie produced just over the border in the Black Mountains to artisan French nut oils, Italian nougat, alcohol-free sparkling teas, chocolate-covered fruits and nuts and some very good pâtés and rillettes, there’s plenty to explore.

These aren't simply September specials either. Our new arrivals are joining the deli as part of our wider range and will be stocked throughout the year, subject of course to availability.

So, here's a closer look at what's new...

Wild by Nature – Black Mountains Bresaola & Farmhouse Salami

We’ll start fairly close to home with Wild by Nature, whose farm sits amongst the Black Mountains.

Their charcuterie is handmade in small batches using pasture-fed beef from their regenerative farm, and we've added two of their sliced products to the deli.

Black Mountains Bresaola is their take on this classic air-dried meat: beautifully lean, tender and intensely savoury. Thinly sliced and ready to serve, it's wonderful as part of an antipasti board, with good olive oil and Parmesan, or simply enjoyed on its own.

The Farmhouse Salami – Beef & Chilli brings a little more warmth. Again made with pasture-fed beef, it has a gentle chilli heat designed to complement rather than overwhelm the flavour of the meat.

Two excellent additions to the charcuterie counter, and particularly nice to have something of this quality being produced so close to Hereford.

Tenuta Marmorelle – Italian Soft Nougat

If you have a sweet tooth, these are difficult to walk past. We've added three Frosted Soft Nougat Slices from Tenuta Marmorelle, produced in Italy and packed with almonds.

The beautifully coloured Frosted Wild Berries Soft Nougat introduces raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, strawberry and other berry flavours, with berries decorating the top.

The Frosted Pistachio Soft Nougat combines the soft almond nougat with pistachio and a pistachio-flavoured coating, creating a lovely combination of nuttiness and sweetness.

And finally there's the wonderfully fresh Frosted Lemon Soft Nougat, combining the almond nougat with lemon and citrus flavours and pieces of candied fruit.

All three look every bit as good as they taste. Slice them thinly and serve with coffee, put a few pieces out after dinner, or simply cut yourself a considerably larger piece when nobody is looking.

Wild Batch Kombucha – Two New Flavours

We have two colourful new bottles from Wild Batch, both live kombuchas.

Blackberry & Rosemary brings together ripe berry character with the aromatic, herbal edge of rosemary – an unusual combination that works beautifully.

Raspberry & Chamomile, combining bright raspberry fruit with the softer floral notes of chamomile.

Chilled straight from the fridge, they're a refreshing alternative when you fancy something a little different.

Forest Feast – Chocolate-Dipped Fruit & Nuts

Forest Feast has taken three already rather tempting things and decided that covering them in chocolate would improve matters. We find it difficult to argue.

First up are the 60% Cocoa Dark Chocolate Figs – whole figs fully dipped in dark chocolate. Rich, fruity and chocolatey, they're particularly good with an after-dinner coffee.

Then we have Salted Dark Chocolate Cashews, bringing together creamy cashew nuts, dark chocolate and a touch of salt.

Finally, the Salted Caramel Milk Chocolate Dates pair naturally sweet dates with milk chocolate and salted caramel.

Three bags that are resealable. Whether you'll ever actually need to reseal them is another matter!

Hadji Bey’s Turkish Delight

Rahat Lokoum Turkish Delight

Original Rose Turkish Delight

We also have two rather lovely boxes of Hadji Bey's handmade Turkish Delight.

The first is Rahat Lokoum Turkish Delight, while the second is their Original Rose Turkish Delight.

The beautiful old-fashioned packaging seems entirely appropriate for something as traditional as Turkish Delight, and the rose variety in particular has that distinctive floral character that makes a good Turkish Delight such a lovely accompaniment to tea or coffee.

They also make rather charming gifts – assuming you can resist opening the box yourself first.

Van Nahmen Sparkling Juicy Tea – A Grown-Up Alcohol-Free Alternative

Van Nahmen Sparkling Juicy Tea - Verbena, Jasmine & Riesling

Van Nahmen Sparkling Juicy Tea - Rose, Darjeeling & Rhubarb

These are one of the more intriguing additions this month. Van Nahmen Sparkling Juicy Tea was created with the help of tea sommeliers, combining fruit juices with carefully selected teas to produce a complex, sparkling alcohol-free drink.

We've brought in two varieties.

Verbena, Jasmine & Riesling combines Riesling grapes with aromatic verbena, jasmine and a hint of mint. Van Nahmen describe it as golden, finely sparkling and particularly suited to Asian-spiced food.

Rose, Darjeeling & Rhubarb is quite different – floral Darjeeling tea meets gently tart rhubarb and a little rosewater, producing a dry, refreshing drink with a beautiful salmon colour. Van Nahmen recommend it as an aperitif and alongside fish, seafood and poultry.

If you're looking for something celebratory without the alcohol, these are well worth discovering.

Jake’s 100% Pure Maple Syrup

Not maple-flavoured syrup. Proper maple syrup.

Jake's Maple Syrup is 100% pure Grade A Amber maple syrup from Vermont, slowly cooked over a wood fire.

The result is a light but complex maple flavour that's incredibly versatile. Obviously it's wonderful poured over pancakes, waffles or French toast, but don't stop there, try it with yoghurt and granola, porridge, roasted vegetables, marinades or even in salad dressings.

The bottle rather wonderfully reminds us:

“It comes from trees.”

Sometimes the simplest things are the best.

Cornish Charcuterie – Pâtés & Wild Boar Rillette

Cornish Charcuterie Herby Chicken Liver Pâté with Smokey Bacon & Sage Butter

Mushroom Pâté with Chilli & Coriander

Cornish Charcuterie Wild Boar Rillette

Three more additions for people who appreciate a good savoury spread.

Cornish Charcuterie Herby Chicken Liver Pâté with Smokey Bacon & Sage Butter is rich and savoury, with bacon and herbs complementing the chicken liver pâté. Add good bread, toast or oatcakes and you don't need to complicate things much further.

For a meat-free alternative, there's their Mushroom Pâté with Chilli & Coriander – earthy mushroom flavours lifted by chilli and fresh coriander.

And finally, Cornish Charcuterie Wild Boar Rillette – a rustic, rich rillette that's crying out for crusty bread, cornichons and perhaps a spoonful of something sharp alongside it.

All three are exactly the sort of products we love having on the deli shelves: uncomplicated, full of flavour and very easy to turn into something delicious.

Moulin de la Veyssière – Artisan French Walnut & Hazelnut Oils

Moulin de la Veyssière - Virgin Walnut Oil

Moulin de la Veyssière - Virgin Hazelnut Oil

These little tins contain something rather special.

Moulin de la Veyssière is a family-run mill in the Périgord that has been producing walnut and hazelnut oils since 1857, using traditional methods passed through generations.

We've brought in their Virgin Walnut Oil and Virgin Hazelnut Oil.

The Walnut Oil has the characteristic rich, nutty flavour you'd expect and is beautiful in dressings, over beans and pulses, or used to add flavour to finished dishes.

The Hazelnut Oil has wonderfully pronounced toasted and praline-like notes. Try a little over salads, roasted vegetables, mashed potato, vegetable soups, fish or shellfish. The producer particularly recommends it with scallops, prawns and lobster.

These are finishing and dressing oils rather than frying oils, you only need a small amount to completely change a dish.

Ester Worcestershire Sauce

And here's another bottle that caught our eye. Ester is a dark savoury sauce inspired by Worcestershire sauce, the Italian label describes it as a “salsa bruna speciale” for meat, fish and shellfish.

Think of it as one of those bottles to keep within reach in the kitchen: something to add depth, savouriness and seasoning to dishes, sauces and marinades, or simply use at the table.

A familiar idea presented in a rather different way.

Come and Discover Something New

One of our favourite parts of running The Hereford Deli is finding products that we genuinely want to put on our own tables.

Sometimes that's something made almost on our doorstep; sometimes it's an artisan product that's been made in the same French mill for generations; and sometimes it's simply an extraordinarily good piece of Italian nougat.

These new September arrivals will be joining our range throughout the year, alongside all the cheeses, charcuterie, preserves, drinks, chocolates and other good things already filling our shelves.

Pop into The Hereford Deli and have a browse , and if you're not sure what to choose, just ask us.

We’re always very happy to help you discover something new.
